Hi, I’m Stephanie, the photographer behind Stephanie Eaton Photography. I’m a self-taught photographer, avid hiker, wife, proud dog-mom, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy during my regular 9-5. I’m based in beautiful Southwest Virginia, where I live with my husband and our two rescue pups who keep life adventurous and full of joy.
My love for photography truly came to life while traveling through Greece and Germany in 2024. Being surrounded by new cultures, landscapes, and stories sparked something in me — and that spark became the foundation of Stephanie Eaton Photography. What started as a passion quickly grew into a calling: capturing authentic moments in a way that feels meaningful, timeless, and true to you.
When you step in front of my camera, my goal is simple — for you to feel at ease. You never have to worry about how to pose or what to do with your hands. I provide clear, in-person guidance and gentle direction throughout your session, helping you feel confident, comfortable, and completely yourself every step of the way.

From start to finish, I guide you through the entire process so you never feel unsure or overwhelmed. From helping you choose the perfect location and outfits to match your vision, to offering clear, supportive direction during your session, you’re never left wondering what to do. If feeling awkward in front of the camera is a concern — you’re not alone, and you’re in good hands. I’ll guide you into natural poses with a candid feel, while encouraging movement and interaction that feels comfortable and true

DUH! If you have made it this far into my page you are considering it, and you should! Life is too short, have something to remember each little moment by.

Common locations in and around the New River Valley include:

Hahn Horticulture Garden

or another place of your choosing.

03. PICK YOUR OUTFITS
Of course I am a sucker for how neutrals photograph in photos. Try your best to color coordinate with similar colors for a cohesive look and feel.
Think MOVEMENT. Things like skirts and dresses photograph beautifully because we can play with them.
However, at the end of the day wear what makes you feel good!
